DALLAS–Mattress Giant has appointed Errol Lebowitz vice president of merchandising, a newly created position.
In his new role, Lebowitz is responsible for the retailer’s merchandising activities and will serve as its primary contact with bedding manufacturers. He reports to Barrie Brown, president of Mattress Giant. Steve Kyger, director of merchandising, now reports to Lebowitz.
Lebowitz joined Mattress Giant in December 2007, when the company acquired Mattress Expo, the mattress retailer he co-founded with David Shapiro. Before taking this new post, he served as regional manager, responsible for launching new products and brands into the retail locations and for training former Mattress Expo sales associates on the features and benefits of these products.
