WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.–The New York International Gift Fair recorded 2,836 exhibitors during its run from Feb. 1 to 6 in New York City.
According to a statement from George Little Management, more than 1,000 exhibitors were repositioned into “new, more product appropriate locations.” Exhibitors were placed at the Jacob K. Javits Center, the Metropolitan Pavilion, and Passenger Ship Terminal Piers 92 and 94 in New York.
“Despite a one-time change to a Friday-Saturday opening, our national and international attendance was strong, with visitors from all 50 states and more than 75 countries worldwide,” said Dorothy Belshaw, the show’s director and senior vice president of GLM.
Among the show’s features were the launch of the Studio lifestyle division, exhibitor relocation in the At Home division at both piers, the relocation of Ex-Tracts to the Javits Center, the introduction of the “A+ the young designer’s platform” in Accent on Design and “the SustainAbility: design for a better world” special exhibit.
The summer version of the show is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 16, through Thursday, Aug. 21, at the Javits Center, the Metropolitan Pavilion and Piers 92 and 94. The show will return to its traditional Saturday-Sunday opening, and again will run concurrently with New York Home Textiles Market Week and Ex-Tracts.
