Simmons Expands Smith's Role, Promotes Bailey
ATLANTA-Simmons has enlarged the responsibilities of Tony Smith, president of U.S. sales and of Simmons Canada, and has promoted Brad Bailey to executive vice president of sales.
Smith's responsibilities now include North American marketing for the mattress manufacturer. He joined the company in September 2010 in his current roles, and since has implemented a sales-force effectiveness program designed to improve dealer communications and service, and including the definition of career paths for sales associates who aspire to leadership roles within the company.
Before his recent appointment, Bailey had served as senior vice president of national accounts. He has held other sales positions in his 14 years with Simmons, including senior vice president of sales operations and regional vice president for the North Central region.
