Simmons’ ComforPedic Brand Ups Charity Participation

       

       

ATLANTA–The ComforPedic memory-foam mattress brand of Simmons has aligned with several celebrity charity events as part of its ongoing efforts to expand its investment in the community, according to a Simmons statement.

Among the events the brand has been involved in are William Shatner’s Priceline.com Hollywood Charity Horse Show, Red Cross of Santa Monica’s Red Tie auction, City of Hope’s Spirit of Life dinner and the George Lopez Golf Classic. The Shatner event benefits Los Angeles charities for special-needs children, and the Red Tie auction raised funds for the Red Cross of Santa Monica’s national disaster prevention, preparation and response efforts.

The City of Hope dinner, which took place during High Point Market, debuted ComforPedic’s online charity auction, in which participants bid on a ComforPedic mattress set and a footstreamer autographed by almost 40 celebrities. The Lopez golf event raised funds for the comedian’s foundation, which raises awareness of kidney disease and organ donation.
