Select Comfort’s Sales Fall Short

       

       

MINNEAPOLIS-Select Comfort will likely miss its internal goals for its fiscal first quarter after a below-plan February sales performance, according to a preliminary statement from the mattress manufacturer/retailer.

Shelly Ibach, Select Comfort’s president and CEO, said the shortfall is “a short-term issue associated with accelerated changes made to our media-buying strategy, and we are making the necessary corrections to both media buying and near-term expenses. We remain confident in our growth formula and are committed to our strategy of delivering an unparalleled sleep experience for our customers.”
Select Comfort also said it would release its first-quarter results on April 17.
