LEXINGTON, Ky.-Lawrence Rogers, president and CEO of Sealy, will retire effective April 5, after a 34-year career with the mattress company.
Rogers’ responsibilities will be moved to Tim Yaggi, chief operating officer of Tempur Sealy, Sealy’s parent; and to David Montgomery, executive vice president and president, international. Meanwhile, Rogers has been elected to the Tempur Sealy board of directors, expanding the board to 11 members, effective March 27.
Rogers became Sealy’s president and CEO in 2008, and continued in that role after Tempur-Pedic acquired Sealy in March 2013 and became Tempur Sealy. He joined Sealy in 1979 and served in a number of executive posts, including president of Sealy of Canada, president of Sealy International and president of Sealy North America.
