ATLANTA, TRINITY, N.C.-Sealy and Simmons, the nation’s two largest mattress manufacturers, have begun initiatives to mark key anniversaries for their two flagship brands, Posturepedic and Beautyrest.
To celebrate Posturepedic’s 60th anniversary, Sealy has debuted a new Posturepedic mattress collection and started a national promotion centered on diamond themes. The promotion includes diamond earring and pendant giveaways; vacations including a week-long trip to Diamond Head, Hawaii, and a giveaway of Diamondback bicycles. Priced at from $899 to $1,199 for a queen set, the 60th Anniversary Sealy Posturepedic collection is made with memory foam, the company’s proprietary Smart Latex and its PostureTech Innerspring.
Simmons is commemorating the 85th anniversary of Beautyrest with a redesign of the Beautyrest section of its Web site, simmons.com. The section now features new videos, photos and pop-out tool tip boxes, along with information about the newest Beautyrest collection, which launches at retailers this month. It also includes two current Simmons promotions—one in which consumers can win a Beautyrest mattress; and the other in which consumers can receive new Beautyrest sheets if they purchase a Simmons mattress valued at $997 or more.
