STOCKHOLM–Electrolux has appointed Keith McLoughlin to the newly created position of chief operations officer, major appliances, and has named Kevin Scott as the new president and chief executive officer of major appliances, North America, and executive vice president of the parent company.
McLoughlin will be in charge of a new organization within the company for research and development, purchasing and manufacturing, with the objective of taking advantage of Electrolux’s global reach and economies of scale. Scott, who succeeds McLoughlin in his new roles, will be responsible for leading the North American major-appliances business. Both executives report to Hans Stråberg, AB Electrolux’s president and CEO.
The appointments take effect on Aug. 4. Scott, who joined Electrolux in 2003, has been serving as vice president and general manager of the refrigeration business since 2006.
