JERICHO, N.Y.–WAC Lighting participated in the recent building of a green home here, which achieved a Gold Star rating and was named the second most energy efficient home in New York from the National Association of Home Builders.
In the kitchen, WAC Lighting’s Invisiled tape light system was installed in toe kick spaces, under counters, and under and in cabinets, while fluorescent pendants were used to light the kitchen island. In addition, WAC Lighting’s low-voltage Crystal Beauty Spots, its Rockport collection of decorative pendants, its Solorail single circuit monorail system, and recessed compact fluorescent downlights were used in other rooms of the home.
In addition, WAC Lighting recently retrofitted the lighting fixtures in its East Coast warehousing and distribution facility, replacing its 250-watt Metal Halide Low Bay fixtures with T5 High Output Three-Light High Bay fixtures, which use approximately 50 percent less wattage.
