Phillips to Expand into Lighting at High Point

HIGH POINT, N.C.–The Phillips Collection will add the lighting category to its product introductions at next month’s High Point Market. Targeting both residential and commercial interiors, the initial launch has about a dozen designs and will exude the contemporary look that the company is known for. The collection is made with such materials as polished stainless steel and exotic wood veneers.

“We have been branching into hospitality, and feel that UL-approved lighting is a must,” said Mandy Shanahan, lead designer, the Phillips Collection, about why the company added the new category. “We also wanted to design lighting in the Phillips style with pieces that can coordinate with our wall décor.”

The line will have both floor and table lamps available, and some can be used indoors or outdoors. New wood floor lamps have varying shapes of lamp shades, from rectangular to circular, while the stands are a piece of wood.

Also for market, Phillips will host several events, including a BBQ at its headquarters here on Friday, Oct. 12, from 4-8 p.m., and an industry mixer in its IHFC showroom (C202) on Saturday, Oct. 13, from 4-7 p.m.
