January’s Dallas Market to Have New Lighting Showrooms and Seminars

       

       

DALLAS–The upcoming Dallas International Lighting Market (Jan. 17-21, 2013) will mark the debut of many new and expanded showrooms, as well as a number of seminars presented by the American Lighting Association (ALA).

In addition, pre-registration for the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market (Jan. 16-22), Dallas International Lighting Market (Jan. 17-21), Dallas Holiday & Home Expo (Jan. 16-22, temporaries Jan. 17-20) and the Dallas Temp Show (Jan. 18-21) is now open with hotel specials.

New lighting showrooms to open during January market include Cutting Edge Industries (Trade Mart (TM) 3-3531); Élan Lighting (TM 3-3519); Focalor (TM 3-3656.06); Iris Cristal (TM 3-3941); Norwell Lighting (TM 3-3656.04); and Van Teal (TM 3-3060). In addition, Focus Industries (TM 4-4329); Lite Master (TM 4-4311) and Nora Lighting (TM 3-3709) have expanded their showrooms, while Besa Lighting (TM 3-3006) and Savoy House (TM 4-4901) have relocated.

The ALA will present several educational seminars during market, including “Demystifying Low-Voltage Landscape Lighting,” presented by Richard Alan, CLMR, from 8-9:30 a.m. and “How to Create Beautiful Kitchens and Baths with LED Lighting,” presented by Nick Senofsky, from 4-5:30 p.m., both on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, and “Lighting a Contemporary Custom Home,” from 8-9:30 a.m., and “How to Sell Energy-Efficient Lighting,” from noon-1:30 p.m., both presented by Daniel L. Blitzer on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013. Seminars cost $44 for ALA members and $69 for non-members and will take place in World Trade Center room 3-345.

In addition, pre-registration for all of the Dallas markets in January is now open. Attendees are encouraged to pre-register via an emailed custom link sent to all buyers or by calling 214-744-7444. Those who pre-register and take advantage of the special hotel rates by Nov. 21, 2012, will be entered to win a free trip to market.
