CLEVELAND–To celebrate its 90th anniversary next year, lighting designer and manufacturer Hinkley Lighting will host a live rock-n-roll concert in its new showroom during the International Dallas Lighting Market. Featuring the Dallas cover band “Identity Theft,” the event will begin at 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20, and will include such prize giveaways as tickets to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony next April.
Located in space 3-3210 in Dallas Market Center’s Trade Mart, the new showroom will incorporate innovative visual merchandising concepts including distinctly designed sections for chandelier, bath and outdoor categories, working vignettes and a state-of the-art Fredrick Ramond boutique. Originally 10,000 square feet, the new showroom will expand to about 17,500 square feet.
During the evening on Jan. 20, Hinkley will give away a grand prize: two tickets to the live Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Saturday, April 14, 2012, in Cleveland, for which such nominees include Guns N’ Roses, Freddie King, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Donna Summer and The Beastie Boys. This package also includes tickets to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum and a VIP tour of Hinkley’s new corporate campus in Cleveland.
“Cleveland is the birthplace of rock-n-roll, home to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and has been our world headquarters since 1922,” said Rick Wiedemer, president, Hinkley Lighting. “It seemed like the perfect way to celebrate, while also paying respect to our heritage.” In addition, throughout market customers will have a chance to enter to win a Vespa LXV 150 i.e. scooter, which will be on display in the showroom and given away at the conclusion of market.
