DALLAS—Now in its 20th year, the annual ARTS awards were announced at a gala event held during the recent Dallas Total Home & Gift Market. The evening included a special tribute to Murray Feiss, the chairman of Generation Brands and the recipient of the Academy of Achievement Award, as well as the presentation of ARTS awards in 25 categories including retail, manufacturing, and others. Winners in the manufacturing categories included Feizy Rugs for area rugs, The Phillips Collection for decorative accessories, Visual Comfort & Co. for portable lamps, Stonegate Designs for lighting fixtures and Paragon for wall decor. Mark Abrams of Mark Abrams Design received the product designer award, Leon & Lulu the rising star retailer award, and Union Lighting & Furnishings the international retailer award. Awards for lighting showrooms were presented to Klaff’s for the East/Atlantic region, Echo Lighting Design Gallery for the Midwest/Southwest and Legacy Lighting & Home for the West.
More than 500 people attended the event, held at The Grand Pavilion at the Dallas Market Center’s Trade Mart.
