DALLAS–Dallas Market Center will attempt to set a world record for the largest kazoo band, at the grand opening of its KidsWorld temporary show at 9 a.m. Friday during the Total Home & Gift Market here.
At the launch of KidsWorld—a more than 200,000-square-foot marketplace of children’s products—thousands of buyers and industry members will gather on the eighth floor of the World Trade Center and in the atrium to attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest kazoo band. The current unofficial record is 3,800 musicians. With an anticipated 50,000 attendees at the January Total Home & Gift Market, DMC officials said they are confident of the prospect of a new world record this week.
