DALLAS–The Dallas International Lighting Market, part of the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market, opens today.
Among the debuts will be ELK Lighting’s Cornerstone collection, targeting the construction professional, and Dale Tiffany’s new Contempo line of updated transitional looks using art glass. New showrooms include Flambeau Lighting on the third floor in the Trade Mart and Port 68, with Eastern Accents, on the fifth floor of the World Trade Center.
The second Dallas Total Housewares & Gourmet Market is now open as well and includes an expanded Gourmet Market of 22,000 square feet. The ribbon cutting for the expansion will happen at 5 p.m. today, WTC 1-180, and the “A Night on the French Riviera” party will follow to celebrate. The market has more than 1,500 manufacturers of housewares and gourmet products in permanent showrooms, temporary booths and the Gourmet Market. Housewares Hotspot will feature product demonstrations from top housewares manufacturers today through Saturday, June 22 from 1 to 4 p.m. In addition, the Culinary Stage in the WTC Hall of Nations will feature live cooking and product demonstrations by high-profile restaurant chefs June 20-22 at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Tonight, The Gift + Home Trade Association will host its market cocktail party from 5-7 p.m. on the second floor of the Trade Mart. Then, at 9 p.m., the lighting industry will mingle with others in the Sheraton Hotel Downtown for the Lighting After Dark party.

DALLAS–While the temperatures in Dallas will be hot, so will the introductions at the Dallas Market Center’s Dallas International Lighting Market, which starts today. The show is part of the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market, which opened yesterday.
Ribbon-cutting ceremonies today include the two new showrooms of Waterford Wedgwood Royal Doulton at 3 p.m. Located in Trade Mart 2-2810 and 2-2824, the showrooms encompass more than 1,800 square feet and will showcase the Waterford Interiors collection of lighting and furniture, and the Royal Albert Home Collection, including the 50th anniversary of the Old Country Roses tabletop line. A cocktail reception will follow.
Other ribbon-cutting ceremonies include Illuminati Lighting at 3:15 p.m. (TM 3-3019) and Demdaco at 3:45 p.m. (TM 1-1418).
From 4-6 p.m. today, Crystorama will have a cocktail reception in its showroom TM 3-3503. The company will also present its Retailer of the Year Award at 5 p.m.
Also beginning at 4 p.m., Littman Lighting and Veranda magazine will host a cocktail party in Littman’s showroom, TM 3-3902.
The Gift and Home Trade Association will also hold its networking reception tonight, from 5-7 p.m. in showroom TM 2-2454.

DALLAS–The lighting market kicks off the new year with the opening today of the Dallas International Lighting Market.
Many companies are debuting renovated or new showrooms at market, and among the lighting companies unveiling them today include Adesso (TM 4-4906) at 1:45 p.m., Light Source, Inc. (TM 4-4804) at 2:30 p.m. and Artcraft Lighting (TM 3-3501) at 5:15 p.m. Edge Lighting (TM 4-4515), CAL Lighting (TM 4-4323), Hinkley Lighting (TM 3-3210) and ELK Lighting (TM 3-3606) held their ribbon cuttings earlier today.
In addition, ART will be hosting a mini-seminar series throughout market, including “Branding Basics,” which takes place today at 1 p.m., in the Codarus showroom (WTC, Suite 531).
An Irish Coffee bar will be available at the back elevators on the third floor of the Trade Mart at 4 p.m., if one needs a warm spiked beverage to provide a jolt.
Crystorama is hosting a hospitality event tonight from 4-6 p.m. in its showroom, TM 3503. It will also present its Rep of the Year awards during the event, around 5 p.m.
The Gift and Home Trade Association will hold a cocktail reception from 5-7 p.m. in TM 1244.
In addition, Murray Feiss Lighting — now known as Feiss — and Monte Carlo Fan Company will debut as one company at this market in a completely redesigned showroom. Tonight it will have a party to celebrate both the showroom and the new alignment of the two brands, from 5-8 p.m. in the showroom, TM 4010.
