GARDENA, Calif.–Zojirushi America has promoted Tatsu Yamasaki to president and chief executive officer of the U.S. unit.

The appointment takes effect on April 1. The current president and CEO, Kazuhito Suzuki, will return to the parent company, Zojirushi Corp., at its headquarters in Osaka, Japan, where he will assume charge over the company’s international department.

Yamasaki joined Zojirushi America when the unit was formed in 1987. Most recently, he served as the unit’s vice president of sales.
