Wusthof’s Colorful Collaboration

Wusthof has launched two Grand Prix II items, a green Two-Piece Herb Set and a blue 7-inch Santoku, exclusively at Bloomingdale’s until the end of the year.

The green Two-Piece Herb Set combines two essential tools to easily cut, chop and mince parsley, sage, dill, cilantro, thyme, chives and other fresh herbs. The new set includes Wusthof’s top-selling Come Apart Kitchen Shears in vivid green and the precision-forged, full-tang Grand Prix II 4.5-inch Multi-Prep Cook’s Knife, which sports a green handle. The set will retail for $59.99 (as open stock items, the shears retail for $19.99 and the knife, $49.99).

The Come Apart Kitchen Shears offer razor sharp blades that easily “come apart” for thorough and easy cleaning, as well as re-sharpening. The Come Apart Kitchen Shears are universally designed for both right- and left-handed cooks.

A cross between the cook’s knife and a paring knife, the Multi-Prep Cook’s Knife features the rounded straight edge blade of a typical cook’s knife, which allows for rapid fire chopping with a pro-style rocking motion on a cutting board. Unlike cook’s knives, which tend to have long blades, typically 8-inches or more, the diminutive Multi-Prep Cook’s Knife delivers precise control, the hallmark of smaller paring knives. The knife features the collection’s signature slip-resistant, pebble-textured handle with a contoured shape that ensures a comfortable and sure grip.

The 7-inch Santoku combines the best features of a European-style cook’s knife with a traditional Japanese cleaver and has a distinctive, hollow edge which helps prevent sticky foods from adhering to the blade and minimizes “drag” for clean and precise cuts. The pebble-textured Grand Prix II handle sports a blue hue for a splash of color in the kitchen. It retails for $79.99.

The green and blue colorways make the pieces exclusive to Bloomingdale’s, according to Wusthof.
