Tupperware Facility in South Carolina Sustains Fire Damage

ORLANDO, Fla.--Tupperware's manufacturing facility in Hemingway, S.C., was damaged in a fire that took place on Tuesday, Dec. 11.

No injuries were reported in a statement issued by the company. The fire damaged a warehouse, and the company is in the process of evaluating structural damage to the manufacturing sector of the facility and to product that is stored there. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined, the statement added.

The company also said the facility's manufacturing capability and distribution infrastructure were not affected, and that it "is working to minimize business disruption" that the fire may have caused.
