CHICAGO–Toastess has formed a partnership with the Cloer European brand of small electrics to become its distributor in the U.S. market.

Cloer’s current distribution covers Europe, Russia, Asia and Canada (Toastess is the brand’s distributor to the latter country). Along with making its appearance here, it has slated entries later this year in the Australian and South Korean markets.

At next month’s International Home + Housewares Show, Toastess and Cloer will introduce coffeemakers, toasters, electric kettles and food-preparation appliances, according to Bill Booth, Toastess’ vice president of sales and marketing.

A particular highlight at the show, Booth said, will be Cloer’s Temperaturestabilized Patented Coffee Brewing System. The new coffeemaker maintains a constant water temperature of 200 degrees Fahrenheit, which provides for maximum coffee-bean extraction, Booth said. In addition, Toastess and Cloer will bring the Mona electric kettle to the show, a product that has been on the European market for years.
