OCONOMOWOC, Wis.–Tailor Made Products is building on its core competencies in the kitchen utensil and storage categories “to create a greater impact within this market,” the company said.

Tailor Made said it plans to continue to develop its capabilities in the home storage market. Product roll-outs will be ready for spring 2012. “We have worked hard to develop our process, which enables us to provide a cost-effective hanger that is engineered at a high level of quality,” said John Wilde, CEO.

The company also plans to highlight domestic manufacture. “While we have strong contractual relationships with select manufacturers in China through our Hong Kong commercial office, we also have
first rate capabilities at our U.S.-based manufacturing facility,” Wilde said. However, international partnerships give Tailor Made the flexibility to offer product diversity to its customers, he added. “Our China based relationships allow us to offer a variety of materials, including steel, wood and silicone, in addition to managing smaller lot sizes.”

Tailor Made plans to add staff in the areas of design and development, with manufacturing positions the following year, according to Wilde. The company has also begun to open regional offices around the United States. These new locations, which the company declined to disclose, will give it the ability to better serve customers in closer proximity. “We are encouraged by the continued growth in the housewares market and are looking forward to putting our efforts into moving our business ahead by providing our customers with innovative ideas and products,” Wilde said.
