Sur La Table, Joseph Joseph Celebrate Partnership

NEW YORK-Sur La Table has nearly doubled its floor space dedicated to Joseph Joseph in its SoHo store here, and it showcased those displays, along with exclusive new Joseph Joseph products, at a press event last night.
The specialty retailer has partnered with the design-oriented housewares company since 2009, according to Cindy Payne, director of merchandising for cookware, cutlery and cook's tools, "and they're growing at an accelerated rate."
"Our customer comes in for newness and innovation. Joseph Joseph delivers on that," she said.
Sur La Table "celebrates brands" but also delights its customers with new discoveries throughout its stores, Payne continued. A dedicated space that shows the breadth and depth of the Joseph Joseph assortment; the company's innovative new products; and the exclusive bright purple colorway that debuts at Sur La Table this fall; together with the Joseph Joseph products that are scattered throughout the floor, blend those two business models well, she said.
Currently, Sur La Table's top-seller from Joseph Joseph is the stainless steel garlic rocker. Payne said, "We can't keep it in stock...it completely exceeded expectations."
Joseph Joseph specializes in producing innovative, functional product in fun colors that allow people to accessorize their kitchens, said managing partner Richard Joseph. Among the new items on hand were the no-spill battery-operated grinder, the Arena self-draining dish rack, the Segment divided utensil holder, the Lotus steamer, and a baking set the comprises four baking items from the company's range, in pink and purple colorways: an Elevate pastry brush and small spatula (both of which lift the working surface of the tool off the countertop), the Pie kitchen timer and an adjustable rolling pin.
