AIRPORT CITY, Israel-SodaStream has reached an agreement with grape-products marketer Welch’s to introduce a collection of sparkling-drink concentrates co-developed exclusively for SodaStream’s home beverage carbonation system.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Welch’s markets a line of products based on Concord and Niagara grapes. The products are slated to be available in the U.S. market in the second half of 2014.
Daniel Birnbaum, SodaStream’s CEO, called the partnership “a terrific marriage” of the Welch’s brand and the SodaStream system. “This relationship further expands our strategy to bring the best food and beverage names into the fast-growing SodaStream family, where consumers are turning to make smarter choices about the bubbly beverages they drink,” Birnbaum said.
