ROSEMONT, Ill.–Mike George, president and chief executive officer of QVC, will receive the Lifetime Humanitarian Award from the Housewares Charity Foundation in 2010.
George will be honored at the 13th Annual Housewares Charity Foundation Gala on Monday, March 15, 2010, during the International Home & Housewares Show in Chicago. An HCF statement described George as “a passionate fundraiser and strong supporter of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation,” HCF’s legacy charity.
Since the first gala in 1998, HCF has raised more than $17 million and has contributed more than $8 million to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This includes $2.3 million raised at the 12th annual gala this past March.
