STAMFORD, Conn.–Philips Norelco will partner with Movember, a charitable organization, to raise awareness for prostate cancer by encouraging men to grow a moustache during November.
Both the company and Movember are asking participants to start next month clean-shaven, then to grow their moustaches and groom and style them to reflect their individual personalities. The hope is that the moustache serves as a way to encourage discussion on men’s health issues, and that it will serve as a sign of solidarity about the cause of raising funds for research into prostate cancer.
The program will conclude with gala parties in cities across the nation when men will shave off their moustaches in celebration of the cause.
