STAMFORD, Conn.–Philips has debuted the Sonicare AirFloss, a flossing device that includes air and micro-droplet technology.
This technology involves a quick burst of air and droplets, which provides “a powerful but gentle fluid cleaning action” that “reaches deep between teeth,” according to a Philips statement. The AirFloss’ promise is that it removes up to 99 percent more plaque between teeth than brushing with a manual toothbrush alone, Philips said. Its design includes a guidance tip meant to ensure targeted cleaning between teeth.
The AirFloss is available beginning this month at specialty stores and online retailers, for a suggested retail price of $89.99.
