Oliso Wins Innovation Award at MadridFusión

SAN FRANCISCO—The PRO-1000 Vacuum Sealer from Oliso was among five winners of the Award for Design, Technology and Innovation at MadridFusión 2011, the international gastronomy summit.

The PRO-1000 was cited for its compact size and ease of use. It is made with a patented punch-and-seal technology and reusable bags, and can be used for sous-vide (a cooking method involving the use of airtight sealed bags in warm water for a long time), food storage and portioning.

The product also features variable settings for moist and dry foods and a stop-vacuum control to prevent crushing fragile and delicate foods. The vacuum sealer is part of Oliso’s patented Frisper Freshkeeper System, which also includes Vac-Snap refrigerator and freezer zipper-top bags, Pantry Bags, a Wine+Olive Oil Freshkeeper and a Mason Jar Freshkeeper.
