GURNEE, Ill.–The NuWave Pro Infrared Oven from Hearthware Home Products took the 2009 prize for Best Infomercial Direct Offer from Jordan Whitney, an agency that monitors cable and broadcast media.

The NuWave Pro campaign ties in with consumer trends such as the desire for quick, healthy meals and energy savings, according to a statement from Hearthware Home. The infomercials showcase these qualities and present the NuWave Pro as an alternative to conventional ovens that uses up to 85 percent less energy.

The statement added that more than 400 infomercials were eligible for the award, including new editions of previously aired infomercials and infomercials on new products.
