NPD Debuts Consumer Tracking Service for Appliances

       

       

PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y.-The NPD Group has launched a new tracking service for consumers of home appliances.

The new service is intended to provide a detailed view of both the small-appliance and major-appliance markets. It will track consumer behavior and attitudes based on surveys of NPD’s online panel of nearly 2 million participants, according to a company statement. As part of the new service, NPD will add coverage of the following product categories: home health care, electric kettles, water heaters and dehumidifiers.

Perry James, NPD’s president of home and office supplies, said, “NPD’s new consumer tracker will give clients a clearer picture of their consumers’ decision-making process, allowing them to identify opportunities and drive success.”
