The charm of Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken, N.J., will be brought to Chicago this month in the form of an expansive new line of Cake Boss products being launched by Meyer Corporation at the International Home + Housewares Show.

Meyer, through a license partnership with Discovery Communications, is unveiling Cake Boss-branded bakeware and baking accessories created in collaboration with Buddy Valastro, star of TLC’s hit reality TV series, Cake Boss, and a principal of his family’s establishment, Carlo’s Bakery.

The new Cake Boss line features more than 20 collections, such as metal bakeware, cooling racks, prep and baking accessories; baking tools and gadgets; decorating tools for icing and fondant; cookie cutters; display and serveware; and gift-ready cake and dessert sets.

“Baking enthusiasts will now be able to deck out their kitchen with all the bakeware and decorating tools needed to take their passion for pastry to the next level,” Valastro said. “I know what aspiring bakers need and we made sure this new collection offers something for all levels, from novice cake maker to those ready to take on fondant.”

Cake Boss is the third celebrity line in Meyer’s portfolio of culinary product brands (it also produces lines by Rachael Ray and Paula Deen), and the first devoted to bakeware and cake decorating products. The comprehensive assortment of more than 200 items, which will be available at retail in the fall, includes pieces crafted from metal, wood, ceramic, melamine, silicone, stoneware and other materials.

In metal bakeware—the brand’s core product category—five collections will be offered, including four constructed of durable carbon steel with a nonstick finish, and a fifth collection of professional quality aluminized steel with a nonstick finish. Key items include three-piece stacking cake sets in round and square shapes; 12-cup molded cookie pans in four designs ; and cakelette pans for baking six individual mini cakes in five designs. Additionally, the bakeware line includes gift-ready cake kits in seven designs. There is also a broad range of cake icing and fondant decorating tools.

Several items throughout the line include humorous “Buddy-isms,” such as two cookbook stands that feature the phrases “My Kitchen, My Rules” and “Devoted to Dessert,” and a cake carrier stating, “Want Another Piece?”
