LG Debuts Vacuums in U.S. Market

       

       

NEW YORK–LG has officially launched its first line of vacuum cleaners for the U.S. market.
The new vacuums incorporate the trademarked DualForce suction (two additional air pathways that pick up from both sides of the vacuum head), Kompressor technology (a motorized compression system) and a larger dust bin—features that combine to pick up dirt and debris over a wider area, according to an LG statement. The line encompasses two models: the LuV200R priced to retail at $299, and the LuV300B, priced at $399.
At an LG event introducing the new line here yesterday, Chris Hogan, director of floor-care sales, said the new vacuums should reach retailers by the end of April. The current channel targets are national department stores and home-improvement centers. LG has also begun advertising online for the new vacuums, and will expand this to television later this year, Hogan said.
