KitchenAid, SodaStream Partner on Soda Maker
BENTON HARBOR, Mich., and AIRPORT CITY, Israel-KitchenAid and SodaStream have reached an agreement to develop a soda maker to be added to the KitchenAid product portfolio.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed in a joint statement from the two manufacturers. The new soda maker is expected to be available at retail in the fourth quarter of this year.
David Elliott, general manager of KitchenAid small appliances, said, "Working with SodaStream brings together their best-in-class technology with our stylish design signature to offer a premium product for consumers worldwide."
Daniel Birnbaum, SodaStream's CEO, said, "Our unique platform will enable KitchenAid to provide its large and loyal consumer base with the many benefits of home carbonation."
