KitchenAid Slates Cook for the Cure Event

BENTON HARBOR, Mich.–Cook for the Cure, a partnership between KitchenAid and Susan G. Komen for the Cure, has scheduled a weekend event called 1,000 Cooks for the Cure to raise more awareness and funds in the fight against breast cancer.
Scheduled for July 16-18, 1,000 Cooks for the Cure will invite cooks to join Nancy G. Brinker, founder and chief executive officer for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, celebrity chef Jacques Pepin and others in hosting cooking event in their homes or offices to raise money for the cause.
Those interested in hosting a party are invited to visit CookfortheCure.com to register and obtain a host identification number. Registered hosts will be given access to a kit that includes party ideas, recipes and information on gathering donations. KitchenAid will also add 1,000 Cooks for the Cure as event on its Facebook page, facebook.com/KitchenAid, and will provide updates on its Twitter page, @KitchenAidUSA, in the days leading up to the event.
Registered party hosts who raise a minimum of $50 will be sent a Pass the Plate serving platter created by Villeroy & Boch by mail.
