WATERBURY, Vt.-Keurig Green Mountain and The J.M. Smucker Co. have reached a multiyear agreement to expand their partnership for the manufacturing, marketing, distribution and sale of Smucker’s coffee brands.
The brands include Folgers, Folgers Gourmet Selections, Cafe Bustelo and Millstone. Mark Wood, Keurig’s senior vice president of global hot systems, said the new agreement—which extends the partnership that began in 2010—expands the Smucker-branded K-Cup product offering for use in new Keurig brewing systems, including the forthcoming Keurig Bolt and Keurig 2.0 brewers. It also provides a platform for the two companies to expand in a variety of channels in the United States and Canada.
Mark Smucker, Smucker’s president of U.S. coffee, said, “The Keurig platform continues to grow, and this agreement will further enhance our leadership in the at-home coffee category by expanding our existing K-Cup pack offerings, participating in the new Keurig brewing systems and expand our presence in multiple distribution channels.”
