SEATTLE-Karl Mejia has been named marketing director at Chef’n Corp., where he will oversee profit and loss and manage Chef’n’s multi-brand product portfolio, ensuring it is in line with the company’s corporate growth objectives, as well as be critical in identifying new product and service opportunities.
Mejia will also manage and mentor the marketing team, where as director he will be heavily involved in the planning, execution and coordination of all consumer marketing efforts including packaging design, digital, consumer promotions, advertising, public relations and retail consumer marketing. Already his initiatives include an emphasis on being consumer-focused.
With an extensive experience in the consumer packaged-goods food industry, Mejia has significant multi-channel experience with a deep understanding of shopper behavior. He also has knowledge of new product development processes and will be critical in future product launches. While working in the consumer packaged-goods industry, Mejia executed marketing campaigns that generated millions of dollars and reached across many sales channels including grocery, mass, club and limited assortment and dollar channels, the company said.
