CLOSTER, N.J.–Two Jura-Capresso coffeemakers have received the Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum, the museum of architecture and design.

The Jura Impressa Z7 One Touch and the Capresso CM200 were both cited by the museum. According to a Jura-Capresso statement, the Impressa model is the first in its Z series with a one-touch latte macchiato button and a programmed-to-pause feature that produces the macchiato’s layers. The CM200 brews 10 cups of coffee in less than nine minutes, can be programmed to brew when the user chooses to do so and is designed with push buttons on its glossy black panel for easy operation.

The Good Design Awards winners are chosen by an independent panel of design professionals and industry specialists, who reviewed submissions from more than 30 countries. The criteria include cutting-edge design, concept, materials, construction, utility, energy efficiency and sensitivity to the environment.
