CLOSTER, N.J.–The Jura Impressa Z7 One Touch automatic coffee center has won a 2010 iF Design Award and has been nominated for the 2011 German Design Award.
The iF award is an international honor given by International Forum Design of Hanover, Germany. According to a statement from Jura-Capresso, the Jura brand’s parent company, a panel of design professionals and industry specialists reviewed products from more than 35 countries based on design quality, choice of materials, degree of innovation, environmental impact, functionality, safety and ergonomics. The Impressa Z7 was selected based on its high-quality materials, design, ease of use and versatility, the statement said.
The German Design Award (formally called the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany) is bestowed by the German Ministry of Economics. According to the Jura-Capresso statement, only products that have previously won a national or international design award are eligible for this honor. It will be presented in February 2011.
