FORT SMITH, Ark.–Jarden’s Process Solutions unit will close its plastics-manufacturing facility here in January.
A company statement attributed the shutdown to “challenging external economic factors, including declining demand of our largest customer.” A press account of the closure said the customer is Whirlpool, but Jarden would not confirm this. The move affects 93 employees, and in its statement, Jarden pledged to provide assistance to these workers.
