IHA Names "Design Defined" Winners from Housewares Show

ROSEMONT, Ill.-The International Housewares Association has announced the honorees of its sixth annual "Design Defined" program, which cited innovative products for cleaning and organizing the home.

The winners are:

oHome Products International-North America for the Hamper Basket and its Ironing Board

oIce Tubes/Koopeh Designs for the Garlic Peel

oJokari/U.S. for the Healthy Steps product line and Label Once

oLC Industries for the Bioserve

oThe NCC for the Powerhorse

oNeat-Oh! International for the Zipbin Doll House Playpack

oThe Original California Car Duster for The Original California Dry Blade

oPlay S.A. for the go two

oRubbermaid for its Carafe

The honored products were chosen by Design Finders, a team of designers and educators from the University of Illinois-Chicago's Interdisciplinary Product Development Program. The team evaluated each product according to innovation, esthetics, how the product helps the user, whether or not the product is environmentally responsible and the impact of the product on the market.
