ROSEMONT, Ill.–The International Housewares Association has posted white papers and analyses of the Asian manufacturing market on the IHA University portion of its Web site.
In an IHA statement, Phil Brandl, the association’s president, said the IHA’s board of directors saw a need for updated information on sourcing from abroad, given the importance of China to U.S. manufacturers and the rise of India and Vietnam as sourcing alternatives. Among the new features are streaming audio on manufacturing in Asia featuring Michael Hetzel, vice president/Americas of Pro QC International and a noted expert on Asian markets. Also, the site has white papers on business developments in China and Vietnam and introductory information on Vietnamese sourcing and factories.
Another white paper on Indian sourcing is under development, the statement said.
