Built made a statement at the International Home + Housewares Show—a lifestyle statement.
In addition to introducing numerous bags and totes made of neoprene, for which the company is known, Built debuted a new booth concept incorporating a brand new merchandising scheme including hooks, shelving and display pieces for all things Built.
“We’re not a bag company, we’re a lifestyle company,” said Rick Sadofsky, Built’s chief sales officer. “We design and offer products that take you from point A to point B.”
In its fifth year of exhibiting at the Housewares Show, Built showed some of the seemingly endless possibilities of its items. The new Verve Lunch Bag—an insulated shoulder bag in eye-catching patterns—promises to make lunchtime a little more lively.
The new Laptop Tote Bag makes it simple to travel in style with a computer. A built-in laptop sleeve holds up to 16-inch computers, and two deep inside pockets are perfect for storing chargers, electronic gadgets and keys.
The Soho Laptop Messenger Bag is designed for people on the run. Also new at the Housewares Show was the Alexander Girard Collection featuring four new products using classic mid-century modern patterns. The line includes the Shoulder Bag, Lunch Purse, Digital Case and Laptop Sling—all using three classic Girard patterns.
