KITCHENWARE: CHEF’S PLANET
The days of washing fruits and vegetables in a colander first and then putting them into a measuring cup are over, as Chef’s Planet’s new measuring colander combines the two tasks. Ideal for those non-liquid ingredients—beans, strawberries, cabbage, and more—the measuring colander has a three-cup capacity and its draining holes line up with the measuring lines. Available in white, red and blue, the measuring colander also has a built-in tuna can drainer and flat sides for easy scooping. It’s available in November. chefsplanet.com

COOKWARE: MINDEN GRILL COMPANY
For those consumers who want to barbeque inside their homes using their stovetops, they now have the Minden Master Range Top Grill, from outdoor gas grill manufacturer Minden Grill Company. The company’s first foray into the indoors, the Minden Master Range Top Grill can be used on any standard, raised electric, gas or propane stove, and has a round opening on the bottom for access to the heat source to allow for open-flame grilling. An added heat shield both cooks the food evenly as well as keeps messes contained within the grill. Made of the same porcelain-coated grate design, enameled steel firebox and cover as Minden’s outdoor gas grills, the range top grill can be cleaned in the dishwasher or self-cleaning oven. mindengrill.com

Ergonomically curved for comfort and designed for cool, the Guy Fieri knives combine performance with style. Initially offered as an eight-inch chef knife, here, and a 5.5-inch utility “Dragon Dagger,” the knives are made of German stainless steel and have hollow ground ovals for less stick and smoother cuts. ergochef.com

GREEN: BEKA
After focusing on other world markets for the past decade, Belgium company Beka brings its eco-friendly cookware line to the U.S. Called Eco-Logic, the line uses hardened aluminum through an exclusive technology so that its PFOA- and PTFE-free ceramic coating, Bekadur Ceramica, adheres better and lasts longer on both the inside and outside of the cookware, the company says. The exterior uses a transparent coating to show the material’s natural color. The Eco-Logic line includes 8-, 9.5- and 11-inch fry pans, as well as a 9.5-inch skillet, here, with lid. beka-cookware.com
