DALLAS–Three students are the first to benefit from the donations of Gourmet Catalog Buying Group members, receiving thousands of dollars in scholarships due to the buying group’s relationship with non-profit organization Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP).
Since the beginning of this year, Gourmet Catalog Buying Group members have given more than $14,000 as well as thousands more in products and services, and the money will go toward programs in more than 185 schools, including cooking competitions, job shadowing, internships, college and career advising and teacher training. C-CAP works with high school students nationwide to prepare them for college and career opportunities in the restaurant and hospitality industry.
Gourmet Catalog will accept donations through the end of the year.
