WATERBURY, Vt.-Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (GMCR) has appointed American Express executive John D. Hayes, Credit Suisse executive Susan Saltzbart Kilsby and former Procter & Gamble executive Robert A. Steele to its board of directors.
Hayes is American Express’ executive vice president and chief marketing officer, and is a veteran of the branding and advertising industry. Kilsby, now senior advisor to Credit Suisse, has also served as the bank’s chairman of mergers and acquisitions and in executive positions in the company’s European sector. Steele is P&G’s former vice chairman of health-care strategy.
Norm Wesley, GMCR chairman, cited the three new directors’ leadership and global experience, and added that each will be “a tremendous asset” as the company continues to drive its growth leveraging its Keurig single-serve brewer technology.
