Fissler Launches Knives

       

       

LOS ANGELES–Cookware company Fissler USA has expanded into cutlery, launching its Solingen, Germany-made Profession and Perfection collections.

Working with designer Thomas Gerlach of Via 4 Design, the knives have hand-sharpened, razor-edge blades at 16 to 19 degree angles and such features as electro-treated blades for corrosion resistance and non-slip injection molded plastic/fiberglass handles.

The Profession line has square rivets and straight lines. Twenty knife types are available, including four Asian knives such as Deba and Yanagiba, which have one-sided blades, and Santoku and Nakiri.
