LYNDHURST, N.J. – Chefs Jose Andrés, Ferran Adria and Juan Mari Arzak – known as the innovators of modern Spanish cuisine – discussed the significance of provoking emotion through food to more than 300 guests, including chefs, students and culinary aficionados, at an event earlier this month hosted by Fagor America.
Called “A Discussion with Friends: Ideas of Today, Foods of Tomorrow,” the event also included food from Andrés, who was celebrating the second anniversary of the opening of his 4-star restaurant The Bazaar by Jose Andrés, located in the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif., where the event was held. Fagor’s line of Black Art refrigerators, its stainless steel cooking center, its induction cooktop and its 24-inch stainless steel built-in single oven were also on hand for guests to view.
“To have the rare opportunity to present three of the most significant chefs of our time on one stage is quite an achievement,” said Patricio Barriga, president, Fagor America. “Each of these men, in their own very unique way, has forever changed the look and feel of how Spanish cuisine is enjoyed around the world. It has been a privilege for Fagor America to have had the opportunity to share this unique experience with everyone.”
