BLOOMINGTON, Ill.–Eureka has launched a downloadable “Dirt Alert” tool on its Web site, and is offering the tool to consumers when they register their new vacuums online.
The feature alerts consumers when an accessory change of service is needed on their vacuums. It creates personalized schedules for changing accessories and then sends desktop reminders. When consumers sign up for the alert, they answer questions on how often they clean, whether their home has any pests, and if asthma or allergies are a concern, according to Sarah Myers, marketing manager of Electrolux’s aftermarket segment, who was quoted in a company statement.
The statement also said the Dirt Alert helps consumers save energy and money by linking them to accessories at Eureka’s online store, and offering a 10 percent discount on accessories purchased through the site.
