STOCKHOLM–Beginning with the first quarter of the current fiscal year, Electrolux will provide information on the financial performance of its small domestic appliances and floor-care products as its own business area, called small appliances.

Previously, these figures had been included in the company’s consumer-durables operations. An Electrolux statement said its floor-care operations have developed to the point where they now represent an increasingly significant part of its overall business. The rest of the consumer-durables area will report under the name major appliances, and will provide figures for financial performance on a regional basis—North America; Europe Middle East and Africa; Latin America; and Asia/Pacific.

Last year, the small-appliances segment registered net sales of $1.2 billion, and operating income of $111.5 million.
