STOCKHOLM-Electrolux has named the finalists for its Design Lab 2013 competition, the company’s global student design competition.
The finalists are a three-dimensional food printer by Luiza Silva from Brazil, a cleaner with flying nano-robots by Adrian Perez Zapata from Colombia, a food nutrition scale and map by Janne Palovuori of Finland, a shape-transforming vacuum cleaner by Germain Verbrackel of France, a breathing wall air cleaner by Jeabyun Yeon from Korea, an air-purifying and scenting necklace by Wei Kiat Law from Singapore, a food stock and diet manager by Francisco Barboza Grasa from Spain, and a hologram cooking appliance by Dawid Dawod from Sweden.
First prize will be awarded to the student that the judging panel determines as creating a ground-breaking design solution of the future. The public can also take part by voting for their favorite finalist on the Design Lab website. They can also share their vote on Twitter by telling why this concept is something they would like to have in their homes in the future.
