EMERYVILLE, Calif.–Mostly known for its barbecue tools and accessories, the Companion Group ventures into the artisan pizza making category with a new line set to launch this summer. Called pizzacraft, the line consists of 32 skus, including pizza stones, pizza pans, tools and accessories. It will be introduced to retailers at the upcoming shows in Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles and Seattle, and will be ready to ship in August.

“A recent family trip to Italy inspired me to produce the same style of artisan pizza I tasted in Rome, at home on my grill (and in my oven),” said Chuck Adams, CEO. “With pizzacraft, we’re offering retailers the opportunity to take advantage of an amazing pizza story, especially during the fourth quarter.”

Product includes ceramic and cordierite pizza stones, peels, cutters, deep dish pans, aluminum and cast iron pans, calzone presses, thermometers for the oven and grill, and other items.

“Pizza, especially artisan pizza, is hot right now,” said Sharon Woulf Fleming, national sales manager. “No other manufacturer is offering the same variety and complete selection of product as pizzacraft. We’ve got beautiful packaging that both retailers and consumers will respond to, especially during the fourth quarter holiday gift-giving season.”
