COSTA MESA, Calif.–Looking to expand and drive its housewares business in 2013, Anna’s Linens has named industry veteran Jeannie Wolf to the position of senior buyer for tabletop and housewares.
In this new position, Wolf will be responsible for the retailer’s hardlines category, an area the 300-plus-store store chain said is “increasingly important.” Recent studies by the retailer have found that customers are seeking more than just home textiles while shopping the store, thereby making hardlines a key area of focus in the coming year.
“I am thrilled to have Jeannie joining our team,” said Carie Doll, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer at Anna’s Linens. “We have placed strong emphasis on growing our housewares assortment and look forward to leveraging her knowledge and experience to provide our customers with a compelling reason to choose Anna’s in the category.”
Prior to joining Anna’s Linens, Wolf spent 22 years as a buyer for Macy’s in the company’s home area. Before that, she was at tabletop companies Gibson Overseas Inc. and PTS in key account management positions.
“I am honored to be joining the Anna’s team,” said Wolf. “I have been challenged to grow the assortment quickly and can’t wait to begin.”
